Cruising as a lifestyle
For many years, the members of our Traditional Fleet have cruised extensively around the Indonesian Archipelago. We return from month-long expeditions, always ready to get off the darn boat, and have a little time for a cold beer and some land-based fun. However, after a week of this kind of typical medication, we always start to reminisce about the great experiences we had, the pristine places we had seen, and always wished we had stayed in that one special spot a little longer.
I can’t begin to explain to you the fantastic places for diving, exploration, or just island combing Indonesia has to offer. Rumers of pirates are absolutely unfounded, although the occasional boarding by a local village chief or National Park Police might throw you for a loop, but be assured that no one is going to cause you any trouble.
With these experiences under our belt, we have desided to offer what we call “The Lifestyle Program”. This program is designed for the traveler who is ready to enjoy a life of traditional sailing style, without the cost of owning the vessel. If you have the time and the lifelong desire to sail for a month, this program is one you should consider. You are free to take the vessel on whatever itinerary you wish, together with your crew, you can select places to explore, select the amount of time you wish to stay in whatever place, and simply treat the vessel as if it were your own.
Package Features:
- 30 days exclusive use of KLM Ratu Rima or a similar vessel, this period is based on doing a roundtrip operation from the vessel's home port.
- Four crew members for the duration of the cruise, including a cook (food for the crew is provided).
- Fuel for the duration of the cruise
- Lifestyle Charter Rate: $9,000 Euro (covers 2-6 passengers)
Not Included in the Rate:
- Food supplies for you and your party. Understanding that everyone has their own tastes, we have left provisioning of your vessel to yourselves. Needless to say, your crew will assist you in purchasing provisions prior to departure and during the month of cruising.
