Program Ambon To Maluku "VOC History" :
Day 1 :
Our trip starts at Ambon. We go onboard of the MatahariKu and we will show you to your cabin.
There will be a short introduction about the boat and some safety instructions. We set sail to the first island Nusa Laut. The first fort we visit is Fort Beverwijk.
Day 2 :
In the night we arrive on Banda and we stay in the bay. In the morning we will take a walk to the forts and find other remains of the VOC time. After an interesting morning we have our lunch aboard the ship and spend the afternoon snorkeling around the beautiful reef and coral gardens at Gunung Api. Later in the afternoon we visit the nutmeg plantation.
Day 3 :
Next on our list of interesting places is the well of Coen, Fort Hollandia and the Dutch cemetary. We will find that on Banda Besar. The population of this Island is very friendly and we stay to see how they live in their village.
Day 4 :
We sail on to the two islands Pulau Run and Pulau Rozengain. They are unknown islands in the Archipel. Here we can go for a nice snorkeling trip or just walking around the islands and just injoy the surroundings.
Day 5 :
Pulau Ay is our next stop. Here we visit Fort Revenge and the remains of one of the biggest Dutch plantations in the area called Welvaren. We stay in the bay for the night. The next morning an original Kora-Kora, a war canoe, from the village Gunung Api joins us as we leave the bay and set sail to our next destination.

We sail across the North of Ambon to Fort Amsteram. This was the first Fort built by the Dutchman Steven van Haghen in 1600. Its purpose was to beat off attacks from pirates from Ternate and keep the Portuguese from entering the Island.
