EXPLORING THE ARCHIPELAGO TO DESTINATION UNTOUCHED

Live-Aboard
DELUXE 5 Star Exploration Diving with Modern Facilites

This program is a perfect example of where the future of liveaboard diving in the Indonesian Archipelago is headed. Exploration is often considered as untouched destinations. However, in this vessel and with her speed, the schedule for 2012 covers everything that people want to see in diving the best that Eastern Indonesia has to offer.

EXPLORATION CRUISES TO
TALAUD ISLANDS, PANTAI SELATAN AND BANGGAI ISLANDS
Are you ready for a real adventure? Then come with us and let’s go diving together at brand new and undiscovered sites!
What will you see? What will you experience? Hopefully, amazing submarine life of all types, shapes, forms & colors. Even seeing small creatures can be a wonderful experience!
We never know what to expect or what is expecting us… But, we would not go to these new areas if we did not know of the excellent potential for spectacular diving in pristine, untouched underwater marine environments.
These cruises will all be exploration cruises! At this moment, we can’t give you an exact schedule or itinerary of the dive areas but keep our eyes and ears open for announcements and more details. Ocean R's standard is 4 or 5 dives a day but because we are “exploration” diving this cannot be guaran-teed on these trips. It is our personal goal to give you the best dives possible and as many dives as we safely can. Night dives will be offered if we have a safe place for anchoring and diving.
In 2012 we offer two exploration cruises:
The first exploration cruise is the Pantai Selatan cruise, an 11 day dive cruise, departing from Bitung on Friday, 16 April 2012. We will explore the region to the South of Lembeh Strait. Some of us have already been diving there but we think there is still a whole lot more to explore and discover.
The cruise will return to Bitung on Wednesday, 28 April 2012 where our guests will disembark.
The second exploration cruise is to the Talaud Islands. Departure from Bitung is on Wednesday, 19 May 2012, for a 13 day dive cruise. We will go diving around the Sangihe Islands and Talaud Islands. In Talaud we will participate in the fisherman festival, called Mane’e, which is held at the Talaud Islands during the full moon of May.
The cruise will return to Bitung on Wednesday, 2 June 2012 where our guests will disembark.
In 2012 we will offer three exploration cruises:
The first exploration cruise in 2012 is to the Banggai Islands. We will depart from Bitung on Wednes-day, 16 March 2012. The Banggai Islands are part of an archipelago of over 100 islands. The area is waiting for us with great drop offs and solitary romantic bays. Here, we will find a wide range of amazing biodiversity. From sharks to tuna and from frogfish to ghost pipe fish – anything and everything is possi-ble!
The cruise will return to Bitung on Wednesday, 30 March 2012 where our guests will disembark.
The second exploration cruise will be a return to Pantai Selatan. Join us and explore the deeps and shallows of this still unknown dive area!
Departure from Bitung is on Saturday, 2 April 2012 for a 10 day dive cruise.
The cruise will return to Bitung on Wednesday, 13 April 2012 where our guests will disembark.
The third exploration cruise of 2012 will be a repetition of the 2012 cruise to the Talaud Islands. We are certain that we will find numerous unexplored dive sites around the Sangihe and Talaud Islands just wait-ing for us to say “Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you!” And we will be there in time to participate in the Mane’e festival – the fisherman

A typical 11 day itinerary is comprised of 40 – 48 dives (Night dives only when the location is suitable).
